Responsibilities
The Marlette Fire Department consists of 22 volunteer firemen and responds to an estimated 100-120 emergencies each year. The department is responsible for fire suppression, fire prevention, building maintenance, and inspections. The department maintains 6 pieces of fire apparatus. This includes: 2 pumpers, 1 tanker, 1 rescue rig, and 2 grass rigs. The JAWS of life is one of Marlette's most valued pieces of rescue equipment.

Fire Run Rates
Fire runs are charged at a rate of $1,1000 for the first hour and $550 per half hour thereafter. There is no separation between structure fires and/or car fires, etc.
